Every Halloween a number of the Kaskitayo Locals dress up and get together for one last session before the snow blankets our fine city. This year the Edmonton Skateboard Association has decided to get behind this great idea and invite everyone to this spooktacular event.
At this event the ESA, will be organizing a bottle and clothing drive in support of the Jasper Place Health and Wellness Center: a non-profit shelter that feeds and clothes the homeless of Edmonton. Their vision is to: build community through relationship, to provide a host of services to promote and mentor individuals at risk on their quest to obtain health and wellness and to change the face of homelessness in the city of Edmonton. Donations to the clothing drive can be dropped off at supporting skate shops around the city or by bringing your clothing donations to the event on Saturday, October 29th. Lightly used shoes, pants, and jackets are needed.
After the bottle and clothing drive, the ESA will be holding a Game of S.K.A.T.E and a Best Trick Contest. The Best trick contest will take place on the following obstacles: the KASK Box, the Kask Out Rail / Ledges and the Cheese Block.
There will also be a Best Costume contest for the Best Costume and Best Group Costume and a Pumpkin Long Jump. Costumes are mandatory for Contest Entry and there will be Prizes for the winners and Candy for all.
The Bottle Drive and Registration start at 10:00 on Saturday October 29th.
